Patrick Chassé ASLA

Bio: Patrick Chassé maintains an active design practice, specializing in historic landscapes, reconstruction of natural plant communities, and design of new gardens, from Mt. Desert Island, Maine, to Istanbul. He is a leader of efforts to preserve "Garland Farm," Beatrix Farrand's last home and garden, in Maine, and in 2005 was appointed the first Curator of Landscape at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, in Boston.

Artist Statement: The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Garden in Maine is one of Beatrix Farrand's surviving masterpieces. The plan is the product of 5 years of research on this landscape, and is the most complete plan since those drawn by Mrs. Farrand. Originally ink on mylar, this 24" x 36" print has been made on rag paper and rendered in watercolor and pencil as a special TCLF offering.
