Rick Darke

Bio: Rick Darke is President of RICK DARKE LLC, an independent consulting firm focused on landscape ethics, photography, and contextual design. Darke's work blends art, ecology, and cultural geography in the creation and conservation of livable landscapes. His work has been featured on National Public Radio and is reflected in his many books including the award-winning title The American Woodland Garden: Capturing the Spirit of the Deciduous Forest.

Artist Statement: Viewed in late afternoon from Kentuck Knob in the western Pennsylvania mountains, farm and forest lines define a diverse, local, livable landscape.
