Emmanuel Didier

Bio: Emmanuel Didier graduated from the Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts in 1997, and from the School of Architecture at the University of Virginia in 2004, with a Master of Architecture and a Master of Landscape Architecture. Mr. Didier currently works out of EDAW’s Fort Collins office.

Artist Statement: This watercolor drawing of Thomas Jefferson’s Academical Village was part of a collaboration with Garden Story; a public television series presenting 15 American gardens. The watercolor plan and section portray the Lawn and gardens as one system: a place of interwoven scales and textures in which architecture and landscape are linked to create the unique and open public garden that we experience today.
