The firm has completed garden designs throughout California as well as many regions of the United States, Europe and Australia. Ms. Power is currently completing a Master Plan for the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanical Garden. In addition, Ms. Power’s work involves collaborating on a Garden School in the West Adams District, modeled after Alice Waters’ “Edible Schoolyard” in Berkeley, giving her time and attention to the fulfillment of her vision for an edible, sustainable garden for K-5 elementary school children.

Nancy Goslee Power & Associates has built over 150 private and public gardens including the Sculpture Garden at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena and the Entrance Parkway and Site Wide Masterplan for Universal Studios. Many of her gardens have appeared in Landscape Architecture, Garden Design, Architectural Record, House & Garden, House Beautiful, Town & Country, Pacific Horticulture and many other publications.

Artist Statement: Ms. Power's work has been influenced by her extensive travels around the world, allowing her to experience diverse cultures, architectures, gardens and natural ecologies.  Regionally, she has been inspired by the rugged, refined, and varied landscapes of California as well as its rich cultural and natural history.  Her designs reflect this wealth of experience and inspiration and combine with her intuitive sense of place to create gardens and landscapes sensitively fitted to their sites and attuned to the needs of their users. Nancy Goslee Power's book, The Gardens of California, is now in its second publishing by Hennesey & Ingalls.
