Dale Horchner earned a BA in Photography from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. He spent 15 years as a freelance landscape and architectural photographer before joining Design Workshop in 2002 as their staff photographer. His work has been published in numerous books and magazines including Urban Land, Fine Gardening, Sunset, National Parks, Santa Fean, Sierra Press Books, Luxe, Aspen Sojourner, Robb Report, and Landscape Architecture. Horchner’s work is featured in the books, New Gardens of the American West and Design Workshop's recently released monograph, Toward Legacy.
