Artist’s Statement
"In June of 1960, I left the employ of Fred Stresau, FASLA, a great mentor, and established my own office in the garage of my home in Pompano Beach, Florida. Around 1965, after I had proven that I had some professional promise, my father asked me to participate in a project of his in Pakistan. Islmamabad was sufficiently distant from New York so that if my efforts were not satisfactory, he would not be unduly embarrassed. Happily it was a successful project, and began a happy collaboration that lasted until his death. As the sketches indicate, he was a special talent.

Now 45 years later, EDSA has grown to a community of 210 gifted planners and designers, organized in 10 studios led by 12 Principals and 7 Associate Principals, with offices in Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Santa Monica, Baltimore, Provo, and Beijing. EDSA practices on a global basis, and the team represents that geographic reach with 30 nationalities represented on staff. EDSA has received over 200 awards for design excellence. There is a shared vision of service to our clients, our communities, and the environment. We also have fun. "
