Chip Sullivan is a Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of California Berkeley College of Environmental Design. His interests include site planning, garden history, and the study of the symbolic meanings of the garden as a metaphysical metaphor. Along with teaching, Sullivan has published several books, including Garden and Climate, Drawing the Landscape, and Double Imperative Landscapes: Daydreams of Frascattii.

"I love to draw! I love to draw almost more than anything else in the world. It brings me solace, excitement, and the thrill of experimentation. When I'm feeling low, drawing can make me happy."
