John Wong FASLA. FAAR

John Wong is a Managing Principal at SWA Group’s  Sausalito, California, office. He earned his BA in Landscape Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley in 1974 and a MLA in Urban Design from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 1978. Wong was awarded the Rome Prize in Landscape Architecture, American Academy in Rome 1981 and he is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects. His work, both in the US and abroad, has been honored with nearly 70 professional awards and includes projects at Tokyo and Stanford Universities. Wong’s designs represent artful and thoughtful responses that are specific to both site and social role. Along with his professional practice, Wong has been an instructor at the Graduate School of Design and a visiting lecturer at Berkeley. He also regularly acts as a studio critic and participates in jury reviews.
