Artist Statement: My creative quest is the discovery of visual gifts - those precious instances of unrevealed beauty that we unknowingly encounter every day. Much is to be gained by embracing these opportunities. I’ve found that one of earth’s four elements, the realm of water, has been particularly generous to me in its gift giving. In my travels I’m unconsciously drawn to it and its amazing, myriad manifestations - nearly microscopic dewdrops on a delicate cobweb at dawn, the sensuous lines of turbulent surf and its interaction with unyielding rock, or the surreal presence of a park fountain at night.
