Bill Kuhl is a registered Landscape Architect in thirteen states, with more than 39 years of professional experience, 33 as the Principal of his own firm, providing compressive design and planning services. His broad array of projects are found throughout the United States and overseas. These projects encompass the detailed design of small pocket parks and intimate “people spaces” as well as large scale comprehensive community master plans. Kuhl’s focus has been the design of urban spaces and streetscapes, working with distressed communities, and the design of projects incorporating landscape components that are specially designed to respond to the capabilities of developmentally challenged individuals, both adults and in particular, children. Kuhl's projects have received more than seventy national, state, and city design awards. He holds a BLA from the New York State College of Environmental Science and Forestry and from Syracuse University. He is a Senior Principal, Vice President, and the Managing Principal of Saratoga Associates’ New City office. Based in Saratoga, New York, Saratoga Associates is a full-service, 65 plus person Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Engineering, and Planning firm.
Artist Statement: The drawing is of a deer mouse on the branches of a shrub. I have always enjoyed sketching people, wildlife and landscapes, mostly in pencil or as ink drawings.
