This is a small willow tree recently planted on the bank of the river. Jensen considered plants living elements of a composition. As plants grow and die, a landscape changes. New plants must be introduced to replace more mature plantings. Attention to this at Columbus Park has meant that Jensen's compositions continue to live today.
