In this drawing by John S. Van Bergen, dated 1920, the refectory looks much like the shelter built in the children's area of Columbus Park. This drawing is one of two proposals Jensen developed to build a prairie-style refectory. Instead, the Chicago Park Commission decided to construct a Mediterranean Revival style building.
