The contributing organizations and agencies at the time included: the Ft. Worth Streams and Valleys Committee, the Sid W. Richardson Foundation, the Amon G. Carter Foundation, Texas Electric Service Company, Tarrant County Water Control District No. 1, The City of Ft. Worth, and Tarrant County Commissioners Court among others. The ultimate construction of this project was due to almost 80% of the funds generated by private donations. Ft. Worth has a long history of preservation and generous benefactors contributing to the development of its current design.
