The Heroes of Horticulture exhibit of photography opened on December 1 at George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film in Rochester, New York.
A group of seventy-five attendees, including contributing photographer Roger Bruce and representatives from several of the Heroes sites, came for the afternoon event. Building on the buzz generated from the opening, TCLF’s online Heroes feature, and the opening of the first signboard exhibit in Charleston, South Carolina, the Heroes have been the focus of more than a dozen feature stories and blogs, including those in The New York Times, Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, The Cincinnati Post, and Detroit News.
