Miranda | 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Miranda Project is a new family compound designed by Janell Denler Hobart of Denler Hobart Gardens LLC, sited in an area of Los Altos Hills that was once a thriving apricot orchard. Rooted in that history, the design pays homage to the orchards, farms, and ranches that once flourished in this valley. The resulting buildings are conceived as simple, iconic forms with a palette of materials that reflects the agricultural heritage of the region. The four main structures sit lightly on the land and allow the surrounding garden to be within the field of view from nearly any location within the home. The windows frame views of low water plantings and meadows that include the clients’ favorite hues of apricots, blues, oranges, and silvers.

This Garden Dialogue will be led by Janell Denler Hobart of Denler Hobart Gardens LLC, who will be joined by architect Ken Linsteadt of Ken Linsteadt Architects at the Miranda Project.

3.0 LA CES™ professional development hours will be available to attendees, pending approval.
