Robert Pease, Fellow ASCE   

Mr.  Pease is a civil engineer who developed an international reputation as a leader in the city and urban development field.  He was a consultant to the Ford Foundation reviewing, analyzing and writing about the programs of the Metropolitan Planning Organization of Greater Calcutta, India and also participated in a number of meetings at Ditchley Park, Oxford, UK on growth and urban problems.  Pease also was a visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh.  Mr. Pease spent 15 years as Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Urban Redevelopment Authority before serving as Executive Director of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development from 1968-1991, and thus is able to speak to the Pittsburgh Renaissance with an familiarity that very few others can.
