Stephen C. BentleyStephen Bentley is currently an assistant director with the Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department, where he oversees planning, design, and communication for Raleigh’s park system. With a career spanning two decades in public service, Mr. Bentley’s work is shaped by his professional values of inclusion, empowerment, and collaboration. Over the last ten years, he has focused on equitably growing Raleigh’s Parks and Greenway System. Mr. Bentley has facilitated two publicly approved voter-bond referendums totaling $180 million in funding for Raleigh’s increasing public space and community facility needs. Most recently he has played key roles in the acquisition of Dorothea Dix Park and the implementation of the Moore Square renovations.
