Janet Rosenberg Janet Rosenberg & Studio is a widely-published, award-winning Canadian company, recognized for innovation, and design excellence. Founded by Janet Rosenberg in 1983, the Studio has produced an extensive portfolio of work that includes public, commercial, and institutional spaces as well as condominiums, private residential gardens, green roofs and terraces. Ms. Rosenberg, an enthusiastic defender of the public realm and avid proponent of environmental sustainability, constantly pushes the boundaries of landscape design. Among her many pursuits, she is a founding member of the Toronto Tree Foundation, and a long standing participant in Toronto’s Waterfront Review Panel and the City of Toronto Design Review Panel. In honor of her work, Ms. Rosenberg has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) and awarded a Honorary Doctorate from Ryerson University. She has also received a prestigious Urban Leadership Award from the Canadian Urban Institute, the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects’ Pinnacle Award for Landscape Architectural Excellence, and the Governor General of Canada Confederation Medal.
