Crews continue painting Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool blue, raising preservation questions

The Cultural Landscape Foundation, a nonprofit that studies and advocates for historic public spaces, said it has reached out to the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts to ask whether required design reviews were conducted. The group is also seeking clarification on whether any evaluations tied to the site’s status on the National Register of Historic Places were completed before work began.
