Hudson River Foliage Cruises Return in October, Tickets Already Selling Fast

The Palisades cliffs that both tours pass carry their own preservation history. The cliffs rise up to 500 feet and stretch roughly 40 miles along the lower Hudson, and they were designated a National Natural Landmark in 1983 after multi-state conservation efforts created the Palisades Interstate Park Commission in 1900 to halt quarrying that once threatened to destroy them, per The Cultural Landscape Foundation.
