In Memoriam: Kongjian Yu 1963-2025

Credited as the author of the sponge city concept, he became the founder and dean of the College of Architecture and Landscape at Peking University, principal of the Beijing-based design firm Turenscape (1988), and the 2023 recipient of the acclaimed Cornelia Hahn Oberlander International Landscape Architecture Prize from The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF).
