Arleyn Levee is a landscape historian and preservation consultant, specializing in the work of the Olmsted firm. She is the author of several articles concerning the Olmsted firm’s design work and also of several biographical sketches about the professionals of the firm. Together with Dr. Charles Beveridge, editor of the Olmsted Papers, she worked with the Olmsted National Historic Site (NPS) and NAOP to develop ORGO (Olmsted Research Guide On-line) as a search database for the Olmsted firm's designed projects from 1857 through 1980.

She received degrees from Wellesley College, Harvard University, and the Radcliffe Seminars Program in Landscape Design. Ms. Levee has lectured across the country on aspects of landscape history and preservation advocacy. As a consultant for historical landscape rehabilitation projects, she has prepared cultural landscape reports for both municipalities and private clients across the country. She is a board member of the Belmont Historic District Commission and sits on the Maintenance & Management Oversight Committee for the Muddy River Restoration Project in Boston and Brookline, Massachusetts. She is currently a Trustee for Historic New England, chairing its Landscape Committee. Ms. Levee was a founding board member of The Cultural Landscape Foundation, serving on the Board until 2012.
