Toronto's Former Parking Lot Is Now A Whimsical Canadian Beach With Lakefront Views

Although it's bordered by a sugar refinery and office building, Sugar Beach has an almost out-of-place, dreamlike quality lent by its candy colors and avant-garde design features. According to The Cultural Landscape Foundation, the beach's design was inspired by the Post-Impressionist painting "Bathers at Asnières" (1884) by Georges Seurat.
