This contemporary garden’s interwoven geometry of walking paths and garden rooms animated by a colorful planting palette perfectly complements Ted Tanaka’s 1986 “M Residence,” perched atop a cliff’s edge with sweeping views to the Pacific Ocean and San Fernando Valley. Pamela Burton & CO.’s facility with modernist design and Southern California’s topography is expertly exhibited by this series of garden spaces harmoniously interacting with the landscape’s contours to create a soft transition from the upper lawn to the pool deck.

The landscape welcomes entertaining and leisure, with a bocce court set within an Olive grove, dining terrace and outdoor kitchen tucked under a louvered pergola, comfortable outdoor living room with seating encircling a fire pit, and a new pool with baja shelf and spa.

The Garden Dialogue will be led by landscape architect Robin Carmichael from Pamela Burton & CO.

1.5 LA CES™ professional development hours will be available to attendees.
